I wanted to do something extra special for my mom this year. As a belated Mother's Day and pre-Aidilfitri 2014 gift for her, I arranged for a special photography session two weeks ago (on July, 8, 2014) for just the three of us - my mom, my baby girl and myself.
After all, we are three generations of "first ladies" in our family!!! My mom is the eldest in her family; I'm an only child; and my first born, Keira Eliza Lee.
The photography package I bought from Groupon was very reasonable. But of course, there's a marketing strategy and gimmick to it. Cheap to take (less than RM100, inclusive of makeup for the adults), but if you want the whole set of photos, you have to top up with their available packages (over RM900 in total!).
And pay, I did! Cos I thought it was worth every ringgit! I took the album + big wall-hanging framed photo + smaller printouts. And that allowed for me to keep ALL the photos taken.
And most importantly, I knew it would make my mom very, very happy :) Plus, if every photo taken of was to perfection, wouldn't you want to keep them all too??? All 100+ of them!!!

Here's a preview of the photos taken:
I truly salute the lady photographer who was assigned to take our photos, she was just fantastic with Keira, who's about 14 months to date, and we had perfect portraits of her and the three of us to savor. Even the candid shots of her were simply PERFECT!!!
Deep in my heart, I really, really, really wished my "Dadi" (grandmother) was still alive to join us for the session (she would have qualified too as she was the first daughter in her family of 20 siblings) - but I know she's always has and always will be with us, in spirit. Smiling as she looks down upon us, and see her generations grow... Amin.
